Jodie Niles![]() Jodie Niles is a writer, artist and Certified Life Coach, whose goal is to empower and inspire others. A Milwaukee native and graduate of Marquette University, Jodie’s experience includes column writing for local magazines such as Natural Awakenings and CityGal, copywriting for Kohl’s.com and various freelance writing for local businesses.
She was recently published in the book, “Amazing Woman, What’s Your Story?” As part of the launch of the book, she spoke at both Amazing Woman’s Day Los Angeles and Amazing Woman’s Day San Diego beside other leaders in her field. Shortly thereafter, Jodie was interviewed on BlogTalk Radio on the “Feel Free in the O.C.” show (Interview is found on Jodie's blog - fast forward to the 35 minute mark where Jodie begins speaking). The book and the interview both discuss Jodie’s path, passion and purpose as a Life Coach as well as personal narratives of her experiences as a writer, a creative and a woman. Currently, she is working on a memoir about her travels, incorporating the chapters of her life within those experiences in an “Eat Pray Love” style. She is also in the process of re-launching her blog (found on her website), coming soon. Thus far, her blogs have reflected primarily on her Life Coaching and self-empowerment mission. And while that will still be present and important, the new voice of the blog will take on more of a “Sex and the City” vibe when Jodie begins to openly discuss things like: being a single woman in her thirties, exploring her own city as a tourist, dealing with mental illness, battling with weight loss and image issues in today’s society, her social life in Milwaukee, dating, friendships, dreams, goals, jobs and all that’s in between. In the last few years, Jodie began dabbling in acrylic abstract expressionist painting. She has shown her work in the Milwaukee area at several venues, including Gallery 2622 in Wauwatosa, various shops in the Third Ward and art shows around the city. She was a chosen artist for Art Beat Milwaukee and also had art featured on the Morning Blend promoting one of the Art Beat events. Her work can be viewed and purchased online at her Etsy shop. Jodie describes herself as a “Modern Renaissance Woman and Professional Gypsy,” not limiting her interests or creativity, and allowing herself to explore new possibilities. She completed three years at the School of Integrative Psychology here in Milwaukee and then went on to become a Certified Life Coach. She feels strongly about health and wellness and enjoys guiding others on their path. Whether she’s putting pen to paper, expressing her emotions on canvas or promoting self-awareness, Jodie’s honesty, humor and passion are always present.
