Auditions for Neil Simon's London Suite - A performance program at Actor's Craft in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Maureen Cashin Bolog will direct Neil Simon's London Suite. Maureen Cashin Bolog is a professional and successful acting coach in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Bolog runs "Actor's Craft" with classes held above the Pollard Gallery next to the Rhode. She has had huge success with her clients over the past few years. Recently one of her student's (13 years old), landed a lead role in a new Disney pilot. Another one of her young actors played Simba in The Lion King in Las Vegas for nine months. Adult actors have gone on to work in theatre, film, commercials and television, including Aaron Farb who landed roles in Grimm, Revolution, Harrison Ford's movie 49, and First in Flight which premiered at Grauman's Chinese Theater.
In order to better prepare adult actors for performing, as well as give them resume credit of having performed, Bolog is now offering a Performance Program that will end in a
fully staged production. Auditions will be held and those who make it will partake in a 10-week workshop studying the play London Suite by Neil Simon. The play has four one-act scenes and various characters available. Students will learn script analysis, as well as physical and intellectual approaches to character development and performance - pulling from techniques developed by top acting coaches. The play itself will be held in the Rhode Center for the
Arts on Friday - Sunday for six shows over two weeks (May 31-June 9). This is a unique opportunity for adult actors who want to develop professional acting skills and build their resumes.
Auditions are for adults ages 18 and over. Seasoned professionals and aspiring talent are welcome to audition. Auditions will be held at Actor's Craft, 518 56th Street on Friday, March 1, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, March 2nd, at 10 a.m. The 10-week class and play costs $350 and requires outside preparation, a balanced rehearsal schedule and tons of professional instruction!
