Meet Matthew Nichols, Writer, Actor, Model, and Southeastern WI Arts Guild's "Member of the Week!"
Matthew is the manager/owner of a new company called Polarity Media Productions, LLC. Polarity Media Productions’ mission is to develop productions, presentations, literature, and art that will inspire, encourage, entertain, and reflect on the human spirit.
Polarity Media Productions is a multi-faceted company, with the potential to branch into new venues as the company grows. There are currently five divisions to Polarity Media Productions; film and television production, actor representation, public speaking, fundraising sales and art creation and sales. The major source of funding comes from a fundraising business and its sales to organizations, groups and teams. The second major source of funding comes from the personal appearances by manager, Matthew Nichols in film, television and print. Supplemental revenues come from a variety of book and art sales, as well as public speaking appearances.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Matthew spent most of his childhood and teenage years pursuing professional baseball. After a successful athletic and academic career at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, Matthew went on to graduate
with a Bachelors of Science Degree – Elementary Education. He went on to teach elementary education in the Milwaukee and Waukesha, Wisconsin communities for 18 years.
Within Matthew’s teaching career, was a love for acting, modeling and writing. In 1994 he began his career as an actor and model in the Milwaukee and Chicago areas during his summers. Matthew has since retired from the field of teaching and is now a published author, devoting his time exclusively to his acting career and screenwriting.
He has appeared in a variety of industrial videos as a spokesperson and host, as well as doing local and regional ads for Kohls, and national ad campaigns including Miller/Coors for Major League Baseball and the National Football League.
Matthew has also been cast in Discovery Channel’s (Investigative Discovery) - Unusual Suspects and True Crimes - With Aphrodite Jones.
Matthew continues to build a successful career appearing in a variety of independent films from a wide range of genres, including the psychological thriller Serum, the comedy Mr. 3000 starring Bernie Mac, to the period piece of the 1930’s Tripoli Shrine.
He is currently working on two, independent feature projects and is raising investor, equity funds to produce them. Matthew is also cast in two college thesis films for both the University of Madison and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
