The Southeastern WI Arts Guild is pleased to announce that Milwaukee Area Businessman James Mullarkey has been named Member of the Week. James Mullarkey is presently working on two major veteran initiatives: 1) National Biennial Symposium (www.nbsv.us) for Veterans: October 2013 which will focus on the Invisible Injuries of War and 2) The Arts, Military + Healing Project within the Greater Milwaukee Area in Fall, 2014. Mr. Mullarkey devotes the majority of his time to nonprofit organizations including the Wisconsin Veterans Foundation, Inc. (www.wivf.org), Vietnam Veterans of America Wisconsin State Council (www.vvawi.org), and emerging service organizations and activities. Mullarkey also focuses on electronic communication, and web design, development, marketing and management. Using a blend of technology, language, art, and imagination, Mullarkey creates captivating virtual environments for guests to explore, enjoy, and interact. As developer for Apple(TM), educator, administrator and business owner, Mullarkey melds his education, imagination and business experiences to re-engineer problems into solutions. Mullarkey was lead researcher and practitioner in the U.S.'s first Adult Learning Disabilities Study, completed studies with neonates to geriatrics and an adjunct professor and supervisor in undergraduate and graduate programs. As Associate Dean, Mullarkey worked with entry-level workers to executives from the 1980's recession and his team assisted more than 10,000 individuals through the 90's and early 2000's. Mullarkey received awards from the Wisconsin's Vocational-Technical College Board, University of Wisconsin's and recognized by businesses throughout Wisconsin and the U.S. Mullarkey developed proprietary hardware and software - DBMS, CAI, Cable Television Announcement Programs (c) 1976, Resume Writing Programs (c) 1978, 1980, and an Occupational Assessment, Analysis and Treatment Plan Program (c) 1986. Mullarkey authored one of the nation's first workplace-based basic skills analysis and training programs and implemented more than 20 corporate training sites. |
