Meet TONY GOFF - Lead vocalist (UPRISING), Frontman, Entrepreneur and
Philanthropist.
TONY GOFF is a recognized frontman on the Metro Milwaukee music scene since the 1980's. Over the years Goff has fronted for such noteable groups as LIPS (1988-1991) Mother Conviction (Los Angeles 1991-1995), The Boogie Men (1996-2012) and 52nd Street - Playing the Music of Billy Joel (2011-Today).
During the Mother Conviction years, Goff & his band landed a development deal with A&M Records in Los Angeles and later had the same arrangement for a solo project entitled
“Anthony.” For this, an EP was recorded with the likes of Greg Bissonette (David Lee Roth, Maynard Ferguson, Joe Satriani, Ringo Starr) Robbie Wyckoff (Roger Waters, Rick Springfield, Jackson Browne) Solomon Burke, Jr. and members of his Wisconsin musical family: Songwriter and keyboardist Joe Hite, brother Joey Goff and bassist Mike Riojas (Corey Stevens).
Goff is a lead vocalist with impressive range, power and expression. He is a natural frontman, capturing the audiences attention with ease and style. Goff is currently rehearsing with his new pop/rock band UPRISING - playing music from the 2000's-today. Tony Goff, Peter Mac, Brian Dale, Ethan Bender & Luke Edgewood are UPRISING!
Goff is also an entrepreneur that has had success with his business, Goff’s Enterprises, a Pewaukee based manufacturer, since returning to the business in 1995.
In 2010, Goff at the request of friend Cory Zimmermann helped to arrange a “We are the World” type recording collaboration featuring over 50 locally known musicians to re-record a song Zimmermann had written 10 years earlier about a friend that was dying of Lymphoma. The song, “This Time Tomorrow” had a video shot for it as well, won several “Telly” awards, raised
additional funds for LLS and became the impetus for starting their non-profit foundation.
In 2011, Goff along with Zimmermann Co-Founded the “This Time Tomorrow Foundation,” an organization that through the use of music & the arts gives financial assistance to local families that are currently struggling because of cancer. TTTF holds events to include concerts and galas where 100% of the money raised goes directly to the mission. TTTF’s eight board
members work on an entirely volunteer basis. That same year the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society honored Goff with
their “Man of the year” designation for this region.
