The World's stage theatre co's "Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs", opens Friday, May 31st at next act theatre!The World's Stage Theatre Company will present "The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs", May 31 - June 2, 2013, at Next Act Theatre. The play is directed by Alan Piotrowicz and features Robby McGhee. In 2011, the Washington Post declared "The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs" to be the “best original American play so far this year” In The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, Playwright Mike Daisey turns his razor-sharp wit to America's most mysterious technology icon in a hilarious and harrowing tale of pride, beauty, lust, and industrial design. The piece illuminates how the former CEO of Apple and his obsessions shape our lives, while following the trail all the way to China to investigate the factories where millions toil to make iPhones and iPods. Daisey's journey shines a light on our love affair with our devices and the human cost of creating them.
