Yellow Hill: The Strangers Tale was the most talked about entry this past September at the South Dakota Film Festival. The film, which is a co-production between Milwaukee-based production company, Yellow Hill Investments LLC, formed by Bai Ling, Glen Popple and Ross Bigley, and Chicago entity Stormynight Productions headed up by Cyn Dulay and Robert Parsons, played to a packed theater and was awarded "Best Narrative Short Film", its second such honor. On hand to accept the award was Bai Ling accompanied by producer Glen Popple. "The reaction was extraordinary." Said Popple, "It played extremely well. It was amazing that so many people who were in town to support other films wanted to see more and were looking forward to the feature. It was clearly an audience favorite and Bai was the center of attention all night." "This bodes well for the planned feature", commented director Ross Bigley, "One that Bai is excited to do." He also mentioned that Yellow Hill Investments LLC can confirm Emmy Award winning Costume Designer, Luellyn Harper, has joined the production team. Other team members are expected to be confirmed in the future. |
